Consider these tips for a more restful sleep tonight:
  • Keep regular hours. Try to go to bed at the same time each night and wake up at the same time each morning.

  • Exercise regularly. Regular exercise can help relieve daily tension and stress.

  • Reduce your coffee intake. Stimulants like caffeine can make it difficult to fall asleep.

  • Sleep on a mattress that's right for you. If your bed is too small, too soft, too hard, or too old, you're likely not getting your best night's sleep.

  • Don't drink alcohol right before bed. It can interrupt and fragment your sleep.

  • Create a restful place to sleep. A cool, dark room free from noise is ideal.

  • Unwind early in the evening. Deal with your worries several hours before bedtime.

  • Never go to bed on an empty or full stomach. An empty stomach can cause physical discomfort; a full stomach forces the digestive system to work overtime.
