Job Description - Full Time Sales
Title: Sales
Reports to: Store Manager
Job purpose: Satisfy customer wants and needs
The purpose of the role is to satisfy customer wants and needs in order to meet company targets for growth and profitability, and to contribute, as a team member, to the Sales Team of the company.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- To convey product knowledge in a professional manner according to the guidelines and principles established by the Royal Mattress sales training.
- To communicate effectively all sales related information to all parties responsible for completing the sales transaction.
- To assure the satisfaction of the customer.
- To meet or exceed sales targets as provided by the store manager.
- To assist the store manager as requested with all functions having to do with opening, closing and maintenance of the store.
- To be familiar with aspects of store manager’s position so as to be able to fill in during days of, vacation etc.
- To assist physically with store displays, customer pick-ups and store inventory.
- To abide by Royal Mattress policies and procedures as outlined.

- Sales Revenues, Average Sale, Gross Margin

Job Description –Store Manager
Title: Store Manager
Reports to: Sales Manager
Job purpose: Execute company objectives
The purpose of the role is to execute company objectives in sales and marketing activities in order to meet company targets for growth and profitability, and to contribute, as a team member, to the Sales Team of the company.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Manage and motivate staff, recruit staff, train and develop staff, according to company policies and ensure relevant procedures are followed (appraisals, discipline, etc). To assure adequate staffing of the store in accordance with the policies of the company and to personally be in attendance at the store beyond his/her regular hours when necessitated by employee illness, absenteeism, inexperience etc.
- Report on sales and business performance, according to company requirements.
- Manage selling and customer service activities and staff competence in these areas, so as to optimize and sustain sales performance, profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Seek and continuously develop knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics.
- Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy-making as required.
- To abide by and enforce all company objectives and policies.
- To set up and maintain store displays as directed by the Sales Manager.
- To attend and participate in sales and management meetings and seminars.
- To assist in all possible ways to ensure the maximum profitability of the company.
- For stores with security systems in place, to be the first person on call to respond to emergencies.
