LOCAL BUSINESS TO HELP CONSUMERS SAVE MONEY AT THE PUMPS

In an effort to help consumers get some relief this summer from the rising cost of gas, one local business is practically giving it away by the litre.  Royal Mattress, a Canadian owned and operated company, is holding a "Free Gas" event for the entire month of July.  Beginning June 27th, consumers are eligible to receive a free gas card worth up to 3-hundred dollars with the purchase of a queen sized sleep set and according to Royal Mattress President and owner Phil Kriszenfeld (Chris-EN-Feld) he's just following the old adage, 'if you build it they will come', "Who doesn't cringe now a days when they pass a gas station and wonder how much higher could the price get," Said Kriszenfeld, "We're just offering something we believe consumers will definitely appreciate."

However consumers won't need to spend a lot at Royal Mattress, but they will save; gas cards start at denominations of fifty dollars. "The gas price is a real hot button issue for consumers these days," Said Kriszenfeld, "And we just want to offer our customers something that might help them sleep better at night."

John Biggs, long-time radio veteran and locally known host, is the fresh new voice of Royal Mattress.

Starting in January 2007, Biggs joined the Royal Mattress team, and provides his distinctive voice and personality to the brand.

Biggs, originally from the east coat, has an extensive musical past, having been in a rock genre band called Titan, formed in Dartmouth Nova Scotia.

Biggs band released two singles entitled "Play Me" and "Won't you come with me".

After reaching success, the band parted ways, and Biggs went onto local fame as a disc jockey and TV host, before leaving Halifax.

"I am very excited about this new found relationship with John and Royal Mattress" comments company president Phil Kriszenfeld. "He is a local icon in the radio world, and is an owner of a Royal Mattress, so we thought this was the perfect partnership"

As a heavy advertiser on K-Lite FM, Biggs will voice all radio spots, and host all remotes, and in store promotions.

ROYAL MATTRESS LAUNCHES THE RED LINE

Royal Mattress, long time mattress mogul is sailing into un chartered waters this Spring, with the launch of their new "Red Line". A line of mattresses targeted at the 18-35 year old crowd.

This new line, which holds true to its name by doting a red stripe around its perimeter, is attention grabbing, and pulls the eye of any patron who enters the showroom.

For over 40 years, Royal Mattress has dominated the retail market, expanding their stores from one location to spawning Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville, London, and Kitchener with seven storefronts, but noticed a large need was going unfulfilled.

"Through the years, I noticed many parents and younger couples would come through the stores looking for a quality mattress, but at an affordable price" comments Phil Kriszenfeld, President of Royal Mattress. "They were either going away to school, or moving out on their own, and money was tight"

ROYAL MATTRESS BUST A BOX SPRING RETURNS!

Royal Mattress is celebrating the grand opening of their 7th store with a storewide "Casino Royal" promotion, including the triumphant return of their widely popular Bust a Box Spring campaign.

The promotion entails an actual box spring being transformed into a game board piece, where each coil holds a discount or prize that consumers will win upon purchase. To gain awareness of this promotion, Royal Mattress has sent out targeted direct mail pieces that showcase many models, which are on sale, along with new product lines. All stores will be decked out in a casino theme, with all staff dressed in dealer threads.

The brainstorm was first implemented in summer of 2006, during Royal Mattresses "Birthday Bash", when the company wanted to promote their anniversary, but with a unique spin. This is the thought that spurred "Bust a Box Spring", and it delivered overwhelming response.

Royal Mattress president Phil Kriszenfeld expresses his joy over the promotion "This is really something different. Typically you can't have that much fun with a mattress, but we thought outside of the box on this one, and it paid off" The bust a box will be available to play on purchases over $250.00, and will be in all stores until February 4, 2007.

The re introduction of the promotion has proved successful so far, with the grand prize being a chance to win an entire purchase free.

ROYAL MATTRESS OPENS 7TH STORE
Burlington, Ontario. October 24, 2006

Royal Mattress will celebrate the launch their 7th store, by officially opening the doors in November 2006 to their new Plains Road location.

Royal Mattress is so excited about this additional storefront, that opening specials will last all month long, right up until December 17, 2006. In order to drive traffic to both the new Plains Road store, along with their factory direct location on South Service Road, a "No Peeking" campaign has been implemented and delivered to homes in neighboring areas. This involves an envelope that can only be opened at the 2 Burlington locations, for a chance to win great prizes, and discounts off of already low factory direct prices. Every one is a winner, so be sure to visit one of the two locations.

Royal Mattress has supported many charities over the years, but after hearing about Mission Services hardships, they decided to lend a helping hand. During the entire month, both Burlington locations will have a donation bin, and encourage people to donate any non-perishable food items.
